Waterbirds

A graduate of Harvard Law School the author, Theodore Cross, has spent his professional life publishing in law, science and black civil rights. Throughout much of his adult life, however, he has also been devoted to birds and has spent much of his spare time travelling around the globe in search of them and photographing them. This book brings together 179 photographs of waterbirds, many American, ranging from the diminutive Least Sandpiper up to the majestic albatrosses. Each section is accompanied by his written reminisces of the species and the places he had to travel to find them, and some of the adventures he had along the way. A beautiful coffee table book.
