Watching Wildlife in London
A handy little guide to the metropolis and written in a very chatty, informal and engaging style. Aimed principally at those with a passing or developing interest in the wildlife they encounter at work or home in the capital, the book reveals the secret that London is actually very rich in wildlife. The first half of the book looks at wildlife in the city in general, explaining some of the interesting behaviours that are seen and wildlife’s interactions with humans, as well as highlighting more than 50 key sites to visit. The second half of the book is a more conventional field guide from trees to mammals, creepy crawlies to birds. I was amused that Rat was not included in the illustrations of mammals you may encounter, however!
