The Great Skua reporting rate is on the up, along with that of several other seabirds, as the seawatching season really hots up. In July Great Skuas were unrecorded in BirdTrack away from their breeding areas but the animated maps for the last few weeks show an increasing number of records from coastal watch points around Britain and Ireland. If you have a favourite BirdTrack site for watching seabirds, you are in a great position to contribute to the UK government's Marine Conservation Zone Project.
