Crossbill

Its a year since I started as BirdTrack Organiser and my first weekly update back in July 2009 described an influx of Crossbills; fitting then that this species should feature again a year on! There have been numerous reports of birds from a wide range of locations in the last fortnight, including a large movement along the North Norfolk coast last weekend and small groups over unlikely locations like the East Lincolnshire wolds. One bird even had the good grace to fly over my new house in Thetford, a very welcome 'garden tick'!
