Duncan, Dumfries & Galloway
North Solway's CES site has had four visits so far. It was impossible to carry out visits 5 and 6 due to the site being flooded. It has rained most mornings for the past three weeks so there has been little opportunity to ring even if the drainage had been efficient. Given the poor forecast, I would say that visit 7 is very unlikely to take place. Nevertheless we will do our best to carry out as many visits as possible. We have only missed two visits previously, both because of flooding, since we started again in 2005.

All 6 visits completed but numbers very low particularly for visit 6 and whilst no flooding up here in the Highlands frequent heavy showers and cold conditions are not conducive to nesting success.
