Bullfinches turn to gardens

Bullfinches turn to gardens

23 Oct 2012

Numbers of Bullfinches visiting garden feeding stations have increased more than six times over since the mid-1990s. The increase, charted through the Garden Bird Feeding Survey (GBFS), contrasts with the relatively stable Breeding Bird Survey (BBS) population trend for this bird. The importance of gardens to Bullfinches is becoming even clearer this year, with reporting rates continuing to rise.
