The State of Birds In Wales

The value of volunteer bird recording has been underlined once again with the publication of the latest “The State of Birds In Wales” report. This partnership report charts the fortunes of Welsh bird life and their conservation successes and failures. In addition to drawing data from the Breeding Bird Survey, BirdTrack and the Ringing Scheme, it has also for the first time utilised Wetland Bird Survey results to chart population changes for selected species of wintering waterbirds. .
