Join BTO Cymru in this relaxed field outing to develop your waterbird ID-skills and to learn more about the Wetland Bird Survey (WeBS)

Join Gethin and Alan in this small-group event to put your ID skills into action. We’ll teach you the key identification features of particular waterbirds, and help you develop other skills for general birdwatching. We will also introduce you to our Wetland Bird Survey (WeBs), which we’ll do together during the session. This is a fantastic opportunity to increase your confidence in a supportive environment, plus meet some like-minded people and enjoy learning about birds!

Refreshments will be provided. We do recommend you bring your own binoculars if you have a pair (though we do have spares), and that you bring appropriate clothing for this fully-outdoors event. Toilets are available at the site. This session will cost £10 per person*.

Booking is required and places are limited to 12 participants. Details of the precise meeting point will be emailed to the participants before the session.

Please note: you will not have to pay the WWT entry fee for this event.

*if you are on a lower income and the full cost of this session would be a barrier for you, then also have a lower fee of £5.
