Join our Youth Representatives for a free visit and behind-the-scenes tour of the Bangor University Natural History Museum!
We’ll start off with an introductory talk from the collections manager and then have some free time to explore the museum and its contents, including a two-headed lamb and a Kakapo! Please arrive a few minutes before the start time and we will meet outside the Brambell building by the grassy area.
If the weather allows, we will then follow this up with a 10-minute walk down to the pier to see what birds are around. It’s completely optional whether you would like to join us for the walk as well or not. Depending on the tide time, there might be a collection of waders on the wader roost including Redshank, Curlew, Greenshank, Oystercatcher and Dunlin so you never know what we might spot!
Please bring any drinks and snacks you would need for the afternoon, although we do ask that you don’t eat any food when inside the museum. If you are planning to join us for the walk please bring comfortable shoes and waterproofs. There is a cafe at the end of the pier if you would like to buy a hot drink or any food.
Please note that this event is open to under 25-year-olds only, with a focus on 16–24-year-olds. Participants under 18 will need to fill in a consent form with their parent(s)/carer(s) and send this to BTO before the event.
