Rufous-tailed Scrub Robin
Cercotrichas galactotes (Temminck, 1820)
RUBRO
10950
Family: Passeriformes > Muscicapidae
The Rufous-tailed Scrub Robin breeds in dry habitats in two discrete areas, one extending in a narrow band from southern Iberia east to Pakistan, and the other in the Sahel.
Based on 'in the hand' identification features, it appears that individuals from both populations have been recorded in Britain & Ireland, but declines in the Mediterranean populations mean it is likely to remain an extremely rare visitor.
