Join Ben Darvill and Regional Representative Andrew Bielinski for an afternoon session learning about and then practising the methods for the Breeding Bird Survey. There will be plenty of time to practise and ask questions, to increase your understanding and confidence with the survey method.

The event will take place at NTS Threave, nr Castle Douglas, D&G. Toilets will be open throughout the day. This is a fantastic site with a mix of habitats and species.

Bring your own food and drink and please wear appropriate clothing for the weather conditions.

Note that in the morning we are running a bird ID practice session (bookable separately), for which there is a small charge. This afternoon survey skills session is free of charge. You are welcome to attend either or both elements of the day.
