No movement from David

Since popping back up we have heard very little from David. It might be that he has moved into deep cover in preparation for the next leg of his journey. In common with several other of our tagged Cuckoos, the next time we hear from him he could be in West Africa.

Stanley stays put

We recieved a series of locations from Stanley during the early morning on 1 March that showed he was still close to the Bolomba river in DRC. It may only be a matter fo time before he makes his move north and west. 

Larry moves north and west

Larry is on his way! During the afternoon of the 5 March we  received several locations from him that showed he was in Cameroon, 802km (498 miles) north and west of his last location on the southern edge of the Congo rainforest. He is currently 54km (33 miles) west of the border with Central African Republic.

He's back!

We haven't heard from Disco Tony for over seven weeks but just after lunch on 4 March he popped back up. He is currently in Central African Republic on the northern edge of the Congo rainforest and on the first leg of his journey back to Wales.

Vigilamus is on the move

Locations received from Vigilamus during the evening of 6 March shiow that he is still in Cameroon but has moved 419km (260 miles) west. He is currently 5km (3 miles) southeast of Mbango.

Coo leads the pack

Coo has moved another 403km (250 miles) west. A series of locations received from him in the evening on 5 March show that he is in Ghana, 78km (48 miles) northwest of Lake Volta.

Peckham heads west

After popping up in Nigeria, Peckham hasn't hung around. At around 09.30 on the morning of 4 March, we received a location that showed he had moved 603km (374 miles) further west and was in Benin, 34km (21 miles) from the border with Togo.

He's alive!

We last heard form Peckham over a month and a half ago, and, whilst he seemed to be alive at the time, we were beginning to get concerned. A location received from him during the early evening on March 1 showed that not only was he alive, he was on his way back to the UK! He is currently in Nigeria 55km (34.5 miles) east of the River Niger and 213km (131 miles) south of the capital, Abuja.

Coo has popped up!

After going missing for fourteen days, Coo has popped up again. We received a good quality location from him mid-afternoon on 27 Febraury that showed he was in Benin, and on his way back! Coo is the first of our tagged Cuckoos to make the move into West Africa. He is currently 27Km (17 miles) from the border with Nigeria, and 5.5km (3.5 miles) southeast of Gobe.

Vigilamus in Cameroon - just

24 Feb 2016

A location received from Vigilamus on 21 February showed that he had moved north again and crossed the border into Cameroon. He is currently 1.4km (.87 miles) into Cameroon and 101km (63 miles) northwest of his last location in Congo. Could this be the start of his long journey home?
