Join BTO Youth on a guided walk, through the woodland and parkland of Dalmeny Estate and along the shore of the Firth of Forth. Hosted by Iris, David and Hannah (BTO Youth Representatives, Lothian).

Event Description

This event will comprise a ~6km* guided walk through the woodland and parkland of Dalmeny Estate and along the shore of the Firth of Forth. The diverse habitats of the estate provides the opportunity to see a wide range of species, including woodland birds, birds of prey, waders, wildfowl and farmland birds. There are also historical landmarks along the walk, including Eagle Rock. Open to birders of all levels.

Please note: There are NO toilets/food and drink options available en route, please plan accordingly. Unfortunately, the terrain makes this event unsuitable for wheelchair users. Nearby bus services are available - please let us know if support is required. A limited number of spare binoculars will be available to borrow.

Please note that this event is free to attend and open to 16–25-year-olds. After registering, participants under 18 will need to fill in a consent form with their parent(s)/carer(s) and send this to youth@bto.org before the event.
