Bitesize Wader ID Wales (2 sessions, Tuesdays 7:00pm)

Want to learn more about Wales’ waders and improve your ID skills?

Event Description

Event Information

Wales is a special country for wading birds, and autumn is a wonderful time to get outdoors to enjoy these birds as they arrive here for the winter. In these interactive online workshops, Gethin Jenkins-Jones from the British Trust for Ornithology (BTO) will highlight the many wonders of wading birds, show why Wales is important for them, and give you top tips to build your ID skills. Whether you’re new to birdwatching or are looking for a refresher, these sessions are welcome to all, and we look forward to seeing you there!

The two sessions will cover a different set of species each and build on each other. The two sessions will take place on the following dates:

Tuesday 10 September 19:00-20:00

Tuesday 17 September 19:00-20:00

Zoom joining instructions will be emailed the day before each session. The sessions will be recorded, so don't worry if you can't make both of them.

Cost: The programme of these two weekly online sessions and supported self-study excercises costs £10.
