The Retrapping Adults for Survival (RAS) scheme, set up in 1998, is an exciting project within the BTO Ringing Scheme. It encourages all fully-trained bird ringers to get involved in collecting high-quality information on survival rates. Over 180 studies are active, covering more than 50 species.
