Jeremy Smith

Research Ecologist

Jez uses statistical models to understand patterns and trends in data from a variety of BTO surveys such as the Nest Record Scheme and BirdTrack.

Interests & Responsibilities

With a background in population ecology and the impacts of climate change Jez is interested in understanding the interactions between individuals and the environment and how that changes a populations abundance. Jez spends much of his time working in open source software (R) and learning new techniques to apply whether they be statistical, GIS-related or a new language to use within R.
