Jemma Davies

Engagement Coordinator

Jemma is excited to be part of BTO NI in a role that focuses on helping people to engage with nature and notice what’s right outside their door, something that she’s passionate about and keen to promote.

Interests & Responsibilities

Jemma leads on organising and supporting engagement events within Northern Ireland, from the BTO NI annual conference to training opportunities aimed at empowering and encouraging volunteers.

She also supports the Regional Reps and Local Organisers in their work to grow NI’s volunteer base so that the BTO science team can gain an even better picture of how birds are doing.

After leaving the education system in 2017, she had a variety of roles within the environmental charity sector in both Northern Ireland and Wales.

Her love of birding has developed significantly over recent years and her role at BTO provides her with the opportunity to grow her ID confidence and share her knowledge with others through this engagement role.
