Robinson settled in Gabon

19 Nov 2018
Since arriving in Gabon in early November, Robinson hasn't moved very much. His biggest movement during the last few weeks has been around 2km (1.23 miles) within the rainforest.

PJ settled - for now

19 Nov 2018
PJ is still close to the town of Dir in Cameroon. He has been here for a month so we could see him move further south soon. In 2016 and 2017 he moved to Angola on 17 and 23 November respectively.

Lambert heads south

19 Nov 2018
Lambert has left Congo and is now in Angola. His movement a couple of days ago saw him fly 715km (444 miles) south and west. He is currently right in the northwest corner of the country and close to the coastal town of Santo Antonio do Zaire.

Knepp further south

19 Nov 2018
During the last few days Knepp has moved further south in Angola. He is now just to the northeast of the coastal town of N'zeto and currently further south than any of our other tagged Cuckoos. He is 6,606km (4,105 miles), as the crow flies, from the Knepp Estate in Sussex; his summer location.

Carlton II still in Gabon

19 Nov 2018
Since arriving in Gabon Carlton II seems settled in the area of rainforest he arrived in. We have received lots of locations from his tag that show he is moving very short distances within the forest. It is currently around 30C with 50% humidity at his location.

Still no news from Cameron

19 Nov 2018
We haven't heard from Cameron's tag since 3 October, this is very worrying. The last pieces of information we received showed that he was alive but that the battery charge was low and falling. It could be that he might still pop-up if and when his tag gets a good charge. However, it has been 46 days since we heard from the tag and it might be that the batteries get so degraded that they fail. Only time will tell whether or not we hear from Cameron again.

Bowie settled in Angola

19 Nov 2018
Locations received from Bowie's tag around breakfast time on 18 November show that he is still settled in forest in northwest Angola. He has been here since early November and it could be that this is his main winter location.

Sherwood is in Congo

14 Nov 2018
On the 8 November we received a series of locations that showed Sherwood had moved out of Nigeria and that he was in the very northeast corner of Equatorial Guinea. Four days later he was in the Congo rainforest. During this time he has flown almost 1,500km (900 miles).

Selborne not hanging around

14 Nov 2018
Since leaving Benin Selborne hasn't hung around. After a short stopover in Northern Gabon, close to the border with Equatorial Guinea, he has moved further south and east into Gabon. He is in an area of rainforest to the east of the Ogooue River, south of the town of Ndjole.

Raymond has moved east

14 Nov 2018
During the last week or so Raymond has slowly moved east and south out of Burkina Faso. He is currently in Togo, very close to the border with Ghana, and in the Assouakoko Forest. During this time he has flown 580km (360 miles).
