Thomas still settled

21 Dec 2018
Thomas hasn't moved much at all since his arrival in the rainforest. Locations received from his tag during the last week show that he is alive and well and moving short distances within the forest.

Selborne settled

21 Dec 2018
Selborne seems settled in the area of rainforest he has been in for almost six weeks. Selborne is currently right in the middle of a large thunderstorm.

Robinson moves north

20 Dec 2018
During the last week Robinson has moved north, flying 133km (83 miles) to the northern edge of the Ivindo National Park, Gabon. The habitat appears similar to that he has been in since arriving in Gabon. It seems too early for him to be making the first move north, so it will be interesting to see what he does during the next couple of weeks.

Raymond seems settled

20 Dec 2018
During the last couple of weeks Raymond hasn't moved very far and is confining his flights to the edge of forest blocks on the plateau, no further and a few hundred metres or so in distance.

PJ moves further south

20 Dec 2018
PJ has moved a little further south and is now pretty much in the middle of the Coutada do Ambriz Reserve in fairly open forest. It is currently 24 degrees and he is on the southern edge of a large thunderstorm.

Larry settled

20 Dec 2018
Larry hasn't moved much during tha last couple of weeks but data from his tag shows that he is alive and well. He is one of four tagged Cuckoos that are wintering within a 30 mile radius in the same area of forest in Angola. The other three are Lambert, Knepp and PJ.

Lambert moves south - a little

20 Dec 2018
During the last two weeks Lambert has moved south in the area of forest to the east of N'zeto, Angola. He is now 30km (18 miles) south of his previous location and only 12km (7.5 miles) from Larry, another of our tagged Cuckoos.

Carlton II not moving much

20 Dec 2018
We have received quite a few locations from Carlton II's tag during the last couple of weelks that show he is moving around the forest. However, he isn't moving very far. The largest distance he has covered is around 1km (just over half a mile). It is currently 27 degrees with light showers at his location.

Bowie seems settled

20 Dec 2018
We haven't heard from Bowie's tag for a couple of weeks, however, the information we received at the time showed that the battery charge was low. Since arriving in Angola he has been in dense forest, so it is not surprising that his battery charge is low. Fingers crossed we will get some more information when his tag gets some sun.

Sherwood moves south and west

17 Dec 2018
Having not moved very far since arriving in the Congo rainforest around a month ago, over the weekend Sherwood flew 150km (95 miles) south and west. He is now in the Conkouati Reserve.
