Sophie Bennett reflects on her recent three month placement at the BTO and the value of taking a step back from a PhD.
There are various volunteer surveys to take part in, all of which contribute valuable data to our understanding of our internationally important populations of geese and swans.
Recent BTO work focuses on understanding the variation in Curlew and other UK wader populations so that we can help suggest actions to conserve them.
