Lambert seems settled

03 Jan 2019
Lambert seems settled in the area of forest close to Quimal, Angola, although he has moved a short distance north and east in the last few days.

Knepp moves back

03 Jan 2019
On the last day of 2018 Knepp moved back inland and is now in the location he moved south and west from a few weeks ago. He seems to have followed the rain north and east.

Carlton II still settled

03 Jan 2019
Carlton II is still in the Gabon rainforest just to the south of Booue. He has been in this location for two months. Several locations received from his tag on 3 January show that his body temperature is perfect but the battery charge on the tag is a little low.

Bowie alive and well

03 Jan 2019
Having not heard from Bowie for a few weeks it was a relief when we began to receive locations from his tag in the last few days of December. His body temperature is spot-on, however, the battery charge is still a little low, hopefully this will get better when and if his tag gets more sunlight. He is still settled in the northwest corner of Angola, around 20km (13 miles) southeast of the coastal town of Santo do Zaire Soyo.

Victor out of touch

21 Dec 2018
We haven't heard from Victor for a couple of weeks but looking at the last batch of data we received the battery level was low on his tag. He is in an area of dense forest and the solar panel on the tag is probably not seeing much sunlight. Fingers crossed it gets enough to send us more data soon.

Thomas still settled

21 Dec 2018
Thomas hasn't moved much at all since his arrival in the rainforest. Locations received from his tag during the last week show that he is alive and well and moving short distances within the forest.

Selborne settled

21 Dec 2018
Selborne seems settled in the area of rainforest he has been in for almost six weeks. Selborne is currently right in the middle of a large thunderstorm.

Robinson moves north

20 Dec 2018
During the last week Robinson has moved north, flying 133km (83 miles) to the northern edge of the Ivindo National Park, Gabon. The habitat appears similar to that he has been in since arriving in Gabon. It seems too early for him to be making the first move north, so it will be interesting to see what he does during the next couple of weeks.

Raymond seems settled

20 Dec 2018
During the last couple of weeks Raymond hasn't moved very far and is confining his flights to the edge of forest blocks on the plateau, no further and a few hundred metres or so in distance.

PJ moves further south

20 Dec 2018
PJ has moved a little further south and is now pretty much in the middle of the Coutada do Ambriz Reserve in fairly open forest. It is currently 24 degrees and he is on the southern edge of a large thunderstorm.
