Larry on the move?

11 Feb 2019
We received a couple of poor locations from Larry's tag that show him to the north of the Teke Plateau in dense rainforest. However, like the last time we heard from him we will have to wait for better quality locations to confirm this.

Raymond still settled

11 Feb 2019
Raymond is still settled on the northern edge of the Teke Plateau, between the rivers Ngoko and Alima. Locations received from his tag on 10 February show that he is moving around in the gallery forest between these two rivers.

Victor still in CAR

07 Feb 2019
Victor has been settled in eastern Central African Republic for the last three weeks. He is moving around an area of wooded valleys and could make a move west any day now.

Robinson still settled in Gabon

07 Feb 2019
Robinson is still in the area of dense forest in Gabon that he arrived in a month ago. He is moving around a little but seems settled on the northeast boundary of the Ivindo National Park.

PJ continues north

07 Feb 2019
Around breakfast on 7 February, PJ's tag showed that he was in Cameroon. He is now over 1,500km (950 miles) from his winter location in Angola. He is currently in a area of wooded valleys on the northern edge of the Mbam et Djerem National Park, and to the south of Lake Mbakou.

Lambert has moved

07 Feb 2019

Lambert has moved 134km (83 miles) to the north and west and is currently just to the south of the coastal town of Soyo, Angola. He is in an area of forest that another of our tagged Cuckoos, Bowie, used a month ago.

Carlton II on the move

07 Feb 2019
Having spent around two months in the area just to the south of Booue, Carlton II has moved. During the last few days he has moved 79km (50 miles) to the north and east and is on the northern edge of the Ivindo National Park, Gabon.

Bowie not moving much

07 Feb 2019
Since arriving in southwest Congo, Bowie has settled in an area to the south of the Niari River and to the east of the town of Makabara. We are receiving lots of locations from his tag that show he is moving around an area of dense forest and areas of more open forest. We last heard from him at 9.00am on February 6.

Thomas on his way back

01 Feb 2019
Thomas' tag gave us a series of locations during the early hours of 31 January that put him in the southeast corner of Nigeria, close to the border with Cameroon. He is just over 1,000km (600 miles) from his last location in Gabon.

Selborne leading the way

01 Feb 2019
Selborne is in West Africa! On the evening of 31 January Selborne's tag showed that he was in west southern Ghana. From the information we received it looks like he took the shortcut across the Gulf of Guinea, a sea crossing of 1,100km (689 miles). He is now 1,650km (1,000 miles) from his last location in Gabon and just under 5,000km (3,000 miles) from his New Forest breeding site, as the Cuckoo flies.
