Spurn Point is one of the UK's premier destinations for witnessing autumn migration! The course is timed to coincide with the arrival of winter wildfowl and thrushes, among many other species. Our new 4-day residential bird ID course is led by renowned ornithologist and accomplished tutor Steve Piotrowski. Formal taught sessions help reinforce the learning, and participants are encouraged to learn from each other as well. This course will help you build confidence identifying common migratory and resident species, and there will be several outdoor sessions, providing plenty of opportunities to put what you have learnt into practice, from the heart of an active Bird Observatory!
