Time to go eggs-ploring!
Time to go eggs-ploring!24 Mar 2011
Nest Box Challenge kicked off on Sunday 27 March, with the current warm weather promising a spate of early laying. The survey, which now extends to open-nesting species such as Blackbirds and Collared Doves as well as the more traditional Great and Blue Tits, allows us to compare the breeding success of nesting birds in our gardens and parks to that of birds breeding in the countryside. Participants are asked to make simple counts of eggs and chicks in any nest that they find and monitor the progress of the nestlings. Submit your data today!
