Join BTO's Youth Representatives to find out which birds you might be seeing in your garden or in a green space near you.

Many of us see our first birds in our gardens; whether that’s a green space, or a balcony. From pigeons to Dunnocks, Robins to Blackbirds, the country’s most familiar species are a great way to get started with identifying birds, both by sight and sound. Youth Representative Lizzie Waring will take you through the most common birds you might encounter, as well as exploring some of the wider dynamics that operate in our gardens and public spaces.

This event is part of the 12-part BTO Youth's Birding 101 series. Find out more about the series and other sessions here

Please note that this event is open to under 25-year-olds only and will take place on Zoom. Participants under 13 will need to fill in a consent form with their parent(s)/carer(s) and send this to BTO before the event.
