Hazel is the lead organiser of Nesting Neighbours and Norfolk Bat Survey. She also provides clerical support to the Ringing and Nest Record Scheme, working on data collection, volunteer communication and licensing.

Interests & Responsibilities

Hazel is responsible for organising Nesting Neighbours and Norfolk Bat Survey. She is the first point of contact for volunteers of these surveys, as well as promoting, processing data and producing results.  She supports the Ringing and Nest Record schemes by working on data collection, volunteer communication and licensing among other duties.

Hazel is chair of the BTO Sustainability Group and sits on the CCI Sustainability Group. She is a C Permit bird ringer, spending time ringing at a local farm site as well as monitoring a number of nest boxes in the spring. She is passionate about wildlife and environmental education, working with local groups and communities to share knowledge and inspire the younger generation.
